Heritage Tourism Bachelor in Tourism & Hospitality (Honours) BTH2073 Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality (FTH) This course provides a theoretical and practical overview of issues and insights in relation to heritage tourism. Specifically, this course focuses on the cross-disciplinary study of culture and heritage in tourism, at the local, national and international levels of destination and society. Two areas of emphasis in this course are: (1) Theoretical insights into heritage related to place and space, community, politics and power, ethnicity, identity and belonging, plus the stakeholders in the local-global tourism industry, (2) Practical insights and tools from an applied perspective, for the planning and management of heritage sites and other heritage resources. The notion of 'heritage' includes natural, cultural and social aspects of heritage. Attention will be paid to both the developing and developed world context.
Cultural Studies Bachelor in Tourism & Hospitality (Honours) BTH2083 Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality (FTH) This course addresses the concepts relating to cultural assets and their use as cultural tourism products. The course focuses on mechanisms through which the tourism industry can use cultural assets in ways that are sustainable and take into consideration the preservation and integrity of the asset, the needs and concerns of the local community, and the viability of the tourism product. Key issues that are covered include the different types and characteristics of cultural assets, the major stakeholders and their values and interests, the relationship between cultural heritage management and tourism, authenticity, commodification, market segments, and sustainable management practices. Wider issues relating to cultural tourism such as globalisation, branding, impacts, ethics, and indigenous involvement are also covered. The course takes a global perspective and considers the use of cultural assets in the context of different cultures and worldviews.
Hospitality Management Accounting Bachelor in Tourism & Hospitality (Honours) BTH2093 Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality (FTH) This subject being the first introduction to financial accounting deals mainly with the accounting principles and techniques of recording in the books of. It is recognized that many students will have little or no prior knowledge of accounting and accordingly, the initial sessions introduce basic terminology and techniques, and develop confidence in their application. Throughout the course students will be expected to synthesize basic principle accounting towards the intrepretation.

Next, the operation management of the park such as resources management responsibilities, visitor use management, financing and human resources will be explored. This course provides a comprehensive and in-depth analysis of the MICE industry, discussing role of MICE in hospitality industry, MICE destination and hospitality as well as stakeholders involved. The marketing and budgeting of MICE will also be discussed in this course.

Kursus ini bertujuan untuk membolehkan pelajar berkomunikasi dalam Bahasa Melayu secara betul dan berkesan dalam pelbagai situasi formal dan tidak formal menggunakan aktiviti-aktiviti interaktif untuk meningkatkan kemahiran pelajar berkomunikasi, khususnya, dalam kemahiran lisan dan mendengar.
Kursus Integriti dan Antirasuah (KIAR) Bachelor in Tourism & Hospitality (Honours) MPU3173 Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality (FTH) Kursus ini merangkumi konsep asas rasuah termasuk nilai integriti, antirasuah, bentuk perlakuan rasuah, salah guna kuasa dalam aktiviti seharian dan organisasi serta kaedah pencegahan rasuah. Kes berkaitan rasuah juga dibincangkan. Kaedah pengajaran dan pembelajaran dilaksanakan dalam bentuk ‘pembelajaran berdasarkan pengalaman’ melalui aktiviti individu dan kumpulan. Pada akhir kursus ini, pelajar dapat memahami amalan integriti, konsep rasuah, antirasuah dan salah guna kuasa serta pencegahan rasuah dalam masyarakat dan organisasi.
Penghayatan Etika dan Peradaban Bachelor in Tourism & Hospitality (Honours) MPU3183 Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality (FTH) Kursus ini mempersiapkan pelajar untuk menghayati etika dan peradaban yang wujud dalam masyarakat kepelbagaian etnik di Malaysia untuk memperteguhkan pemikiran kritikal dan analitikal mereka bagi menangani kehidupan yang lebih mencabar. Pengisian kursus ini memfokuskan kepada penghayatan etika dan peradaban dalam acuan Malaysia. Pelajar akan didedahkan dengan dinamika konsep etika dan peradaban yang menjadi kekuatan kepada pembentukan negara Malaysia berdasarkan susur masa evolusi sejarahnya dari era pra-kolonial sehingga ke pasca-kolonial. Kefahaman tentang pembentukan etika dan peradaban dalam masyarakat kepelbagaian dibincangkan bagi meningkatkan penghayatan etika dan peradaban ke arah pemantapan kesepaduan nasional dan bangsa Malaysia. Peradaban acuan Malaysia perlu dikupas serta diperdebatkan dalam aktiviti akademik berpandukan Perlembagaan Persekutuan sebagai tapak integrasi dan wahana etika dan peradaban. Pembinaan kesepaduan nasional amat dipengaruhi oleh globalisasi dan perkembangan teknologi maklumat dan komunikasi yang kompleks. Penghayatan etika dan peradaban menzahirkan perilaku tanggungjawab sosial dan digerakkan pada peringkat individu, keluarga, komuniti, masyarakat, dan negara. Justeru itu, perubahan yang berlaku dalam masyarakat dan pembangunan langsung ekonomi telah membawa cabaran baru dalam mengukuhkan kelestarian etika dan peradaban di Malaysia. Amalan Pendidikan Berimpak Tinggi (HIEPs) dipraktikkan dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran bagi mendalami kursus ini.
